In Bar about 15 thousand tourists, the visit is satisfactory

According to the latest data from the Tourist Organization (TO) Bar, there are currently about 15,000 tourists in the city, TO Bar director Emil Kukalj told the Mediabiro Agency.

«Compared to 2020, that is eight times more. However, when we compare with 2019, it is a drop of some 15 percent, which is a satisfactory result and somewhere in line with our expectations, „he said.

He says that the guests are mostly from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Poland and other countries of the former Soviet Union.

“They are resting on the Bar Riviera from Čanja to Utjeha and they are really satisfied with their stay. This is also shown by our polls — he will recommend Bar to his friends and relatives and he will gladly come back again », Kukalj points out.

Kukalj says that TO Bar has launched a new event, primarily having in mind the epidemiological measures, but with the desire to offer citizens and tourists something new.

«This is a manifestation called Barski đir, which will present our tradition and culture in a beautiful way. What is characteristic is that this event will be held in all our tourist places. We have already started with some occasional concerts, the priganica fest at Virpazar continued with the concert of the KIC pop choir in Sutomore. We continue with numerous activities that will be for both older and younger — with aqua gymnastics, morning and evening yoga on the beach, driving children by car Ćiro, but also numerous art workshops.

We are also planning numerous other activities such as bazaars of traditional products, performances by local klapas and cultural and artistic societies », announces Kukalj.

He appealed to all citizens to respect the prescribed epidemiological measures and called on them to be vaccinated.

«Given the increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus in Montenegro, I appeal to citizens to take care of the measures in force and get vaccinated because it is the only way to save the health of our citizens and tourists and above all to save the summer tourist season,» he concluded. Kukalj.
